Ford Focus sponsors moonlight cinema

Ford is once again sponsoring a well-known outdoor initiative, with the Ford Focus featuring for the 2011-12 season.

Providing the ultimate outdoor cinema experience, the Ford Focus Moonlight Cinema showcases an extensive schedule of classic, cult and new release films.

Films are being shown at the Belvedere Amphitheatre in Sydney's Centennial Park right through summer, finishing March 25 2012.

The popularity of the new Ford Focus continues to grow, after recently being named the best small car in the 2011 Drive Car of the Year awards.

Interior comfort was a key feature highlighted by the judges, with the car offering plenty of storage for small items.

The car also excelled in terms of handling and fuel economy - boosted by the six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission and Torque Vectoring Control.

The dual-clutch gearbox offered one of the greatest points of difference for the car manufacturer, being "widely heralded as smoother on the move and less jerky at low speed than the [Volkswagen] Golf’s similar transmission," Drive reported.

"I think there is not an area of this car that is not improved over its predecessor," one judge said.
